This week was busy as heck. It started off easy enough but then projects kept getting in the way.
Monday night was spent getting things in order for some commitments I had Tuesday. I spent so much time focusing on that meeting that I didn’t take a moment to exercise. Tuesday was pretty jam-packed, but I was able to start the Couch to 5k program I kept telling myself I would start. I was pretty successful at keeping up with the couch to 5k program all week.
My runs took place on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
These runs are pretty good since I am a slow runner and have not been running in quite some time. I am excited to see how I can build upon this and actually get to the 5k mark.
Wednesday evening I had plans to meet with a friend. We hung out in her apartment and traded Pokemon and drank hot chocolate. It was a really enjoyable evening.
Thursday and Friday were tough because I did not work downtown. As such I did not go on my lunch time or after work strolls. Therefore I did not hit my step goals for the day which of course is always a bummer.
Friday evening I worked a shift at Gamestop, and this created a problem for me as the manager of the Gamestop loves to bring in snacks. I am a legendary snacker and grazer. It is my weakness. I lack the self-control to do good snacking habits and end up eating an entire box of fudge-dipped Oreos.
Saturday we had an adoption event followed by helping my mom move some furniture around in her house.
Which leads to today. I slept in and it was wonderful. Then I metup with the raid bus so we could take this picture.
Its been awesome to run the website for the raid bus. I am not in this picture as I am the one taking the picture. But I am happy to see the two foster puppies that my boss has in the photo. I am sure the puppies were exhausted from the attention from riding the bus.
After this photo I decided to take a hike through Brackenridge park as the weather was perfect. During my hike I followed a road I had never been on before along the river.
It was interesting to see a part of the San Antonio River that I had never seen before. This is the part of the river that runs from Brackenridge Park through the municipal golf course before it hits the Pearl Area.
After this hike, I came home and
After all of this, I am saddened to report that I did not get my step goal for the week. I am ending the week on 49 km. This is the first week since Adventure Sync was launched that I did not get all the way. I know missing it by one kilometer is silly and I can easily go and get it right now as it doesn’t reset the counter until 9 am. But I have closed out the week as far as exercise go, and tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day for me.
