I finally have my tree setup for Christmas, it just needs ornaments and then it will be done and perfect.
I was inspired to setup a super simple tree this year, after my moms tree. Growing up she had great big trees that took a few days to setup, but we could never truly enjoy them as mid-December we would drive to San Antonio from El Paso to stay with my grandparents.
When we finally moved to San Antonio, my mom was no longer interested in setting up the big tree and opted for smaller trees. Several smaller trees. A small fake tree in every room of the house.
She had her own forest of Christmas trees.
When I got my house, I opted to take one of her small trees and have set it up every year. It is a nice little tradition, that I am a little behind on this year.
I hadn’t planned on setting one up, since I got Boots it is difficult to
Cats just love to knock that shit over. And I didn’t want to deal with the frustration. But I have decided this year I would set it up in my little home office.
Away from kitties who like to knock things over.
This is especially important to me, as all of my ornaments are very important to me. Every time I hit a major life goal or visit a new place, I opt for a new Ornament. I even made one for this year that I blogged about before.
I still have a lot to do, and little time before Christmas. I better get to it.
