Pax South returned to San Antonio this year and it was a blast to attend. There were a ton of different booths setups this year and fortunately I had a 3 day pass to attend it.
This was the line to get in on Friday. Super impressed with their ability. The time from the door to the entrance was under 15 minutes. I have never seen a line move so quickly for a con.
After a brief walkthrough at the show. We went to lunch. On the way I ran into Ross and Holly. Ross is one of the people on the youtube channel Game Grumps. And Holly his wife is Commander Holly, a youtuber and cosplayer.
Intel had a booth that used a tablet to scan in a bust of you. This is used to generate a 3D model. Really impressive how quickly it scans in and then generates a render. The photo is a rough draft with the final rendering coming soon.
This was my favorite booth by far. These guys make brand new games for the original NES. New code, new cartridge. The demo of the game is really nice and completely unfair. Just like a classic NES game.
Loved the graphics on the game. Super cute first person shooter.
