I have not been keeping track of this as well as I maybe should have, but currently, I am sitting at 44 days of coding, which is very close to the halfway point.
I am not 100% certain of this, as Free Code Camp deleted a bunch of modules off their site during the transition to the new structure or something, but the little calendar of items turned in doesn’t have anything highlighted for the month of May.
100 Days of Code is a neat little hashtag I found on twitter where people doing Free Code Camp, or other online resources share what they have accomplished or achieved, and I decided that I should participate in it a little bit.
I haven’t done anything for this long of a period of time since I decided to quit smoking, so I consider this to be a massive achievement.
I am also excited because today I finished the “Applied Visual Design” module in Free Code Camp. This section focused on some CSS that I was not 100% familiar with and found to be incredibly interesting. For example, I had always known that there were some animation functions in CSS for a while, but I had never used them. Today I used them!
It was awesome.
Especially the heartbeat animation.
But now it is time to start the next module. And get to 50 days of straight coding. This may be a challenge as I will be out of town this weekend. But I will attempt to do at least one module from my phone on Saturday evening so that I will not lose anything.
